Biography

Pro Orca Artist – Drumsticks Made in France

Graduated in 1994 from P.I.T. from Los Angeles, he started at the age of 8 with the marching drum at Cadets de Genève.

After a short stay at the Conservatoire de Genève, he prepared for P.I.T. with Thierry Hochstätter, drummer at the ballet Béjart, among others.

He teaches drums since 2003 at the APCJM, « Association de Promotion Culturelle des Jeunes Meyrinois », near Geneva, and at the Music Arts Academy in Geneva,

He also taught at the music school La Lyre and at the Thônex recreation center (MJC) from 1995 to 2002.

He also is a session drummer for different projects.

Since he came back from Los Angeles, he accompanied dozens of artists. He was one of the co-founder of the Nu-Jazz D’Bb collective Freebase Corporation (150 dates including at the Montreux Jazz Café), played for the Guinean singer Maciré Sylla, the jazz pianist Al Blatter, the metal band Djizoes with a tour in Asia in 2010, the singer Damien Surdez today Zedrus, Chris Maldah, a duet with the French rapper Stommy Bugsy, the Tontons Flingueurs and the band La Chose (opening act for Silmarils).

With around 700 concerts in Switzerland, France and Europe, but also in the United States, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan, he has acquired a solid experience of the stage but also of studio recording for projects in different styles, independent artists and groups from the Swiss and French local scene.
